　　某的賬上”卻不用bill，而要用put...on one's tab 表示。tab 是“小紙片”的意思，因為過去小店的生意都是靠住在附近的老主顧，賒賬時有發(fā)生，于是老板們通常把每個人的賒賬情況記在各自的小紙片上，也就是

　　put...on one's tab，以防遺忘。漸漸地，該詞組就成了一種習慣用法。
