VIEWING THE SEA ATOP MUME FAIRY MOUNTAIN

登梅仙山絕頂望海

Waving my sleeves, I go up western mountain high,

揮袖上西峰，

Its summit only one foot from the sky.

孤絕去天無尺。

Cane in hand, I overlook the sea where appear whales,

拄杖下臨鯨海，

And count one by one mist-veiled sails.

數(shù)煙帆歷歷。

I’m greedy to see clouds dance on the mirror bright;

貪看云氣舞青鸞，

On my way back it is twilight.

歸路已將夕。

Thanks to the breeze among the pine-trees blowing,

多謝半山松吹，

I’m detained from home-going.

解殷勤留客。
