Bronwen gathered wild-flowers	布蓉溫采集野花，
Up-and-down the lane;	從小徑這邊到那邊；
Her gathering touch upon them.	她的手觸到花朵，
Sweeter was than rain.	花感到比雨水還甜。
Now a blossom overblown,	一朵花開過了盛期，
Now a bud begun—	一朵花正待綻開——
Her eye that lightened on them	她射到花上的目光
Was quicker than the sun.	閃得比陽光還快。
One by one she named them,	她逐個給花兒取名，
Oh, she did express	哦，用美名一串
In her pretty namings	她充分顯示出那些
All their prettiness:	花兒的美麗嬌妍：
Some were fit for virgins,	有的名恰好給處女，
Some for merry dames,	有的名給快活的太太，
And the love with which she named them	她給花命名時的愛心
Was lovelier than their names.	比花名更加可愛。
