One Allosaurus moved off to flank the unsuspectingCeratosaurus.

一頭異特龍離開繞向毫無防備的角鼻龍側(cè)面。

The rest headed to center stage.

其余的前往主戰(zhàn)場。

The Ceratosaurus is out numbered and scientists nowknow it was also outsmarted.

角鼻龍需要以寡敵眾而且科學家們現(xiàn)在知道它智力上也不是敵手。

It was sort of an earlier model meat eater.

就像是一種較早型號的肉食者。

It didn't have the more sophisticated brain that we see in some of its contemporaries, likeAllosaurus.

它并沒有那一時期其它恐龍那么復(fù)雜的大腦。

So although it was pretty strong, it didn't have the claws, it didn't have the brains and it alsodidn't have the size of some of the other giant meat eaters of its environment.

雖然它很強壯，但是它爪子并不厲害頭腦也不靈活，就連體型也要比相同環(huán)境里其它的一些巨型肉食者要小。

A single Ceratosaurus faces off against two Allosaurus.

If he's up against somebody bigger, Allosaurus is gonna be cautious.

He's gonna really size up the prey, and he's gonna focus on his adversary's weak points.

If he's fighting somebody smaller, the battle changes.

Now he's interested in rushing in and beating the crud out of his opponent.

There's a new clue.

Scientists have found Allosaurus bones around the world.

科學家在世界各地都發(fā)現(xiàn)了異特龍。

They all show signs of serious trauma.

它們都有嚴重創(chuàng)傷的跡象。

We know this dinosaur was programmed to kill or be killed.

我們知道這種恐龍的戰(zhàn)斗模式就是殺戮或者被殺。

There's been a lot of Allosaurus specimens found that have wounds on them,

我們找到的很多異特龍樣本，上面都有傷痕，

damage from having their foot crushed by another dinosaur or holes punctured in their tail froma spikes of a Stegosaurus.

從被其它恐龍踩碎的腳到尾巴上面被劍龍尾刺擊穿留下的孔洞。

But these are healed wounds.

不過這些是愈合后的傷痕。

These dinosaurs survived these attacks long enough for the bones to heal over.

這些恐龍遭受攻擊后，過了很久骨頭上的傷都愈合了。

They lived in tough times, but they were tough, and they could take it.

它們生活在艱難時期，不過它們也很堅韌能夠堅持下來。

Having identified their adversary, the Allosaurus moved down the hill towards their target.
