Delight,top-gallant delight is to him, whoacknowledges no law or lord, but the Lord his God,and is only a patriot to heaven.

那個(gè)不認(rèn)得別的法律和主宰,只認(rèn)得主耶和華,只對(duì)上天忠誠的人,愿他愉悅,至上的愉悅。

Delight is to him, whom all the waves of the billowsof the seas of the boisterous mob can never shakefrom this sure Keel of the Ages.

那個(gè)在萬浪翻騰,波濤洶涌中永遠(yuǎn)動(dòng)搖不了他那牢固的經(jīng)年的龍骨的人,愿他愉悅。

And eternal delight and deliciousness will be his, who coming to lay him down, can say withhis final breath-O Father!-chiefly known to me by Thy rod-mortal or immortal, here I die.

永恒的愉悅和歡娛將屬于他,屬于那個(gè)雖然行將結(jié)束生命,卻在彌留時(shí)分還會(huì)說這樣的話的人...

I have striven to be Thine, more than to be this world's, or mine own. Yet this is nothing:

我的父呵!首先使我認(rèn)識(shí)的是你的威力...不管是進(jìn)地獄還是永垂不朽,我這就死了。

I leave eternity to Thee; for what is man that he should live out the lifetime of his God?

我竭力想屬于你,努力的程度遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超過于想屬于這個(gè)世界,遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超過于想屬于我自己。然而,這是微不足道的:我祝福你永生;一個(gè)人竟想活得比他的上帝長(zhǎng)命,算什么人呢?

He said no more, but slowly waving a benediction, covered his face with his hands, and soremained kneeling, till all the people had departed, and he was left alone in the place.
