Compared with competing products, ours are smaller and lighter. 

與競(jìng)爭(zhēng)的產(chǎn)品比起來(lái)，我們的產(chǎn)品更小巧輕便。

 

Our products are brightly colored and beautifully designed. 

我們的產(chǎn)品色彩艷麗，設(shè)計(jì)精美。

 

 

compared with (與……相比) 

 

Tip: compared with放于句首，意為"與……相比"可視為獨(dú)立成分，與 compared to可通用。

但兩者還是有區(qū)別 compare......to.....意為"把……比作"即把兩件事物相比較的同時(shí)，發(fā)現(xiàn)某些方面相似的地方。這兩件被比較的事物或人在本質(zhì)方面往往是截然不同的事物。如 Chairman Mao compared the young people to the morning sun. (毛主席把青年人比作早晨的太陽(yáng)。 ) compare …… with. "與……相比，把兩件事情相比較，從中找出異同這兩件事又往往是同類(lèi)的，如: Let me compare my homework with yours. (讓我把我的功課和你的比較)。另外，詢(xún)問(wèn)產(chǎn)品的特性時(shí)，可說(shuō) How's your product better than the competitor's? (你們的產(chǎn)品與競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手相比好在哪里呢?)
