B: Hi.Mr. Wu. Long time no see. l've come to register a trade mark.
B:你好，吳先生。好久不見，我今天是來給商標注冊的。
A: It seems to me that you have put much more stress on trade mark registration now than before.

B: Yes.our product. color TV. sells well in your market. In order to uphold our right and profits . we think it is high time to have it registered.

A: With pleasure. When a foreign enterprise makes application for trade mark registration in China. he should entrust a represen- tative from the Trademark Office of CCPIT to go through the for malities. Generally speaking. the following documents are needed:an application in duplicate. power of attorney in duplicate and a certificate of nationality.
A：當然可以。如果外國企業(yè)打算將其商標在中國注冊，他應委托中國國際貿易促進會的代理人代辦手續(xù)。一般來講，需要提供這些文件申請書的副本，委托書的副本和國籍證書一份。
B: How long do we have to wait before we get the approval after handling in the application?
A: Not too long. The Trademark Office examines the application. issues preliminary approval and publishes the trademark. All these will take two or three months.
B：通過申請后我們要等多久才能收到對申請注，冊商標的批準書呢?
B:How long will the registered trademark remain valid.
A：不太長，商標注冊機構審查申請，發(fā)布初步批準書和公布已注冊的商標，通常這一過程要花費兩 個月時間。
B:商標有效期是多長時間?
A:Ten years from the date of registration.
A：從核準注冊那天算起10年。
B;What if we want to continue to use the trademark?
B：如果以后我想繼續(xù)使用注冊商標怎么辦?
A:You have to apply for a renewal within five months before expiry.
A:那就得在期滿5個月內申請繼續(xù)注冊。每次繼續(xù)注冊有效期為10年。
B:Each renewal is good for ten more years. Can we assign a vademark to another person or company?
B：我們可以把商標轉讓給另一個人或者另一家公司嗎?
A:Yes . you can.

B:How can we do this?

A:You can do this by filing a joint application with the assignee with
the Trademark Office. The assignee should . of course .guarante the quality of the goods when he uses the registered trademark.
