　　看到某人遭受打擊垂頭喪氣時，為了表達我們的關懷與鼓勵，可引用本句，句意相當于“Don't be so sad!”(別太悲傷!)。 “cheer up”亦可以“人”作賓語，即“cheer +人 +up”，表示“使某人振作起來”。

　　甲：怎么了，法蘭克?

　　B：I didn’t make the soccer team.

　　乙：我未入選足球隊。
