突破英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)練習(xí)：“票房”英語(yǔ)怎么說(shuō)？

Box office指的是賣(mài)票的地方，不管是賣(mài)球票還是賣(mài)電影票的地方，都可以稱(chēng)作box office。
例如跟朋友約好去看電影，你可以說(shuō)："I'll see you at the box office."那就是說(shuō)，我們?cè)谫u(mài)票的地方見(jiàn)面。
此外，box office也可以用來(lái)指電影或球賽的"票房"，或是賣(mài)座的情況。例如：
Can you believe that? Scary Movie actually did very well at the box office.
你能相信嗎？Scary Movie這部片子的票房賣(mài)座居然非常地好。
注意到了沒(méi)，老美說(shuō)一部電影的票房很好，不是用"The box office is very good."而是用a movie did very well (at the box office)，別搞錯(cuò)了。
如果要提到實(shí)際的票房收入，則不妨用took in或是grossed這兩個(gè)動(dòng)詞(均為過(guò)去式)，例如：
Over the weekend, the top 10 movies grossed over 100 million at the box office.
排名前十名的電影周末票房總收入超過(guò)1億美元。
或是"The box office of the top 10 movies took in over 100 million over the weekend."
 
這些票房大獲成功的“賣(mài)座電影”，英文可以說(shuō)：
a blockbuster
a box office hit
a box office success
a box office smash
 
“票房飄紅”英文怎么說(shuō)
當(dāng)和朋友談?wù)撾娪捌狈繒r(shí)，如果想表達(dá)“票房飄紅”，可以這么說(shuō)：
I heard that movie is a big success at the box office.
還可以這么表達(dá)：The movie is a huge hit at the box office. huge hit指“巨大成功”。
形容某部劇是“熱播劇”可以用“hit show”。
 
“票房慘淡”英文怎么說(shuō)
如果票房慘淡，則可以搭配fail、flop、bomb等表示“失敗”的動(dòng)詞：
This movie…failed / flopped / bombed at the box office（...票房一敗涂地）.
這些票房失利的電影，中文常稱(chēng)作“票房毒藥”，而英文則可以用failure（失?。?、flop（失?。?、bomb（失敗）、disaster（悲劇）等詞匯來(lái)表達(dá)：

a box office flop
a box office bomb
a box office disaster
 
“預(yù)售”英文怎么說(shuō)
形容某部電影正在預(yù)售我們可以用“pre-sale”來(lái)表示，也可以用“advance booking”來(lái)表示。
