　　使用祈使句和感嘆句
　　1 Don’t smoke in the classroom!
　　2 What a lovely baby!
　　3 How I want to have a sister!
　　4 How ambitious the young graduate is!
　　顯而易見(jiàn)，祈使句和感嘆句都是強(qiáng)調(diào)句，它們的強(qiáng)調(diào)語(yǔ)氣都很強(qiáng)，但是過(guò)多地使用祈使句和感嘆句也會(huì)給人一種語(yǔ)言不自然的感覺(jué)，從而削弱表達(dá)效果。
　　適當(dāng)?shù)厥褂枚叹?br /> 　　1 When she comes out of the car we will beat her up, make red marks on her white skin, and shewill cry and ask us if we want her to pull her pants down. We will say no.
　　2 In the last two decades there has occurred a series of changes in American life, the extent,durability, and significance of which no one has yet measured. No one can.
　　長(zhǎng)短句結(jié)合使用會(huì)有特殊的表達(dá)效果，尤其是長(zhǎng)句后的短句往往言簡(jiǎn)意賅、一針見(jiàn)血，給人的印象非常深刻。
　　使用簡(jiǎn)練的句子
　　1a The problem in this particular situation is that we owe more money than we can afford underpresent circumstances.
　　1b The problem is that we owe more money than we can afford.
　　2a In my opinion, the competition for grades distracts many students from their goal of obtaining agood education.
　　2b I think the competition for grades distracts many students from their goal of obtaining a goodeducation.
　　2c The competition for grades distracts many students from their goal of obtaining a goodeducation.
　　語(yǔ)言羅嗦的句子容易分散讀者的注意力，可有可無(wú)的詞語(yǔ)和必要的詞語(yǔ)混在一起影響讀者對(duì)句子的理解，不易于讀者抓住重點(diǎn)。1a和1b意思完全相同，但表達(dá)效果卻有差異，1b句子簡(jiǎn)練，重點(diǎn)突出，而1a語(yǔ)言羅嗦，句子冗長(zhǎng)，重點(diǎn)不突出。2a，2b和2c三句話(huà)意思沒(méi)有區(qū)別，但表達(dá)效果卻不相同。2a表達(dá)效果最差，句首的短語(yǔ)in myopinion削弱了句子的說(shuō)服力。2b表達(dá)效果稍好，但句首的I think并不是重要的信息。2c最為簡(jiǎn)潔，表達(dá)效果最好。
　　使用表示強(qiáng)調(diào)的詞語(yǔ)
　　1 He is the very candidate they are looking for.
　　2 Do tell us your experience in Tibet.
　　3 What on earth are you talking about?
　　4 I didn’t like the movie at all.
　　表示強(qiáng)調(diào)的詞語(yǔ)還有whatever, by all means, particularly, especially, above all, most importantly,greatly, totally, completely, extremely, really, absolutely, quite, rather等等。
