Don't knock it 字面意思是：“不要敲它”，你可不要被它的表面意思給迷惑了哦。knock在此處表示：“找茬，挑剔，非難，抨擊”，所以這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)的真正含義是：“不要太挑剔”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"Don't knock it!"時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Don't be so fussy!"、"Don't be too particular about others!"、"Don't be so finicky!"。
