bed是否連用冠詞或其他限定詞的問題

一、一般說來，表示與“睡覺”這一概念有關(guān)時，通常不用冠詞或其它限定詞，反之則用：

It is too early for bed. 現(xiàn)在睡覺太早了。

He went to bed at 9 last night. 他昨晚9點上床睡覺。

He wentto the bed and found a letter on it. 他走到床邊，發(fā)現(xiàn)上面放著一封信。

He sat by the bed, watching TV. 他坐在床邊看電視。

二、與介詞in連用時，通常不用冠詞；而與介詞on連用時，通常要有冠詞：

He is still in bed. 他還在睡覺。

He’s sick in bed witha cold. 他因感冒而臥床。

There is a box on the bed. 床上有個盒子。

有時兩者都可以用，只是搭配不同而已：

躺在床上看書是個壞習慣。

正：It is a bad habit to read in bed.

正：It is a bad habit to read on a [the] bed.

三、與介詞into, out of 等連用時也通常不用冠詞或其它限定詞：

He got into bed quickly. 他很快上了床。

He jumped out of bed as soon as he heard the bell. 他一聽到鈴聲就跳下了床。
