點睛本句型是典型的表示因果關系的句型，適用于各種文體。該句型可以變換為：
If there is an increase in demand, then prices rise/go up/boost/are higher. 如果需求增加，價格就會上升。
當然，本句中的there be結構可以根據(jù)語境替換為其他結構。如：
If ecological environment continues to worsen, then we human beings are doomed to become extinct in the future. 如果生態(tài)環(huán)境繼續(xù)惡化，我們?nèi)祟愒谖磥砜隙〞缃^的。
需要注意的是：then一詞不能替換成than，因為前者才是表示因果關系或者時間順序的，而后者表示比較。
