A: you're rather energentic today. What's going on?

B: nothing really. I think I've had a few too many coffees.

其實(shí)沒什么.我想可能是咖啡喝多了.

A:  free coffee is one of the perks at this place, isn't it?

B:  it's the only perk of this job! How's your day going?

A:  not that well. I've got that Monday morning feeling today.

B:  why is that?

為什么?

A:  my boss has been breathing down my neck all day. I can't wait for the weekend!

我的上司天天盯著我.我簡直迫不及待地想過周末了.

B:  your boss is a real salve-driver, isn't he?

你的上司真像個(gè)奴隸監(jiān)工,是吧?

A:  you can say that again! He won't even let us check our personalemail at work!

說得好!他甚至都不讓我們?cè)谏习鄷r(shí)間內(nèi)查閱私人信箱.

B:  that's not just your boss. No one is allowed to send personal emails from the office.

這不賴你上司.上班時(shí)間確實(shí)不允許在辦公室發(fā)私人郵件.

A:  really? I didn't know that it was against company policy.

真的?我不知道這違反了公司的規(guī)定.

B:  maybe your boss isn't so horrible after all!

也許你上司也不是那么苛刻.

A:  no, he is. Some bosses will bend the rules a bit sometimes, but not my boss. He always follows the rules to a T.

不,他確實(shí)很苛刻.有些上司偶爾會(huì)彈性使用公司規(guī)定,不過不會(huì)是我上司.他總是對(duì)公司規(guī)定執(zhí)行得一絲不茍.

B:  try not to let it bother you too much.

A:  thanks. I better get back to my work before my boss yells at me again!
