　　A: I was walking across the road yesterday when I saw a hideouslydeformed dog. I really felt sorry for the thing.

　　B: It is frightful to think that such an animal has to keep on living.

　　A: Not to mention how unsightly it looked. It only had three legs.

　　B: I agree. Unpleasant things like that should now be in the public view.

　　A: 昨天過(guò)馬路的時(shí)候我在路上碰到了一條長(zhǎng)得奇形怪狀的狗。我真覺(jué)得它可憐。

　　B: 一想到那樣的一只狗還要繼續(xù)活著真是讓人不寒而栗。

　　A: 先不說(shuō)它長(zhǎng)得有多難看!它還只有三條腿。

　　B: 沒(méi)錯(cuò)。那種令人慘不忍睹的東西不該讓大家看到。
