The vivid and thought-provoking cartoon ironically shows that holding a pole high above the kid，the parents are eager to see their child jump over it，thus living up to their expectations．Nowadays parents simply expect so much of their children that their requirements are far beyond children's ability．

Such a scene does exist around us．Take my aunt for example，she always has an inclination to constantly push her daughter forward for higher and higher goal，as a result of which，the daughter is under great pressure all the time．The psychological burden prevents her from having a good mood，which I think can hinder her academic performance negatively．

From my perspective，parents' excessive deeds and prospects may serve as an obstacle to the growth and overall development of kids because their commands diminish children's desire and enthusiasm for learning and reinforcing confidence．Mental pressure parents place on children drags them tightly in pursuing goals．What parents should do is to give children a free hand to set proper goals and define their future themselves．Moreover，parents should encourage children from time to time and help them shape a positive attitude towards targets and life．

Hence，don't let the tragedy illustrated in the cartoon occur in our real life．Parents ought to make a change and propel children positively and effectively all the way．
