日?？谡Z：如何用英文表示“其他”、“等等”

在日?？谡Z交流和寫作中，如果你要列舉多項例子，最后表示“其他”、“等等”的時候，是不是喜歡用and so on來表示?

比如，大家會經(jīng)常說：

I like playing basketball, football, badminton, and so on.

我喜歡打籃球、踢足球、打羽毛球，等等。

要強調(diào)的是，and so on這樣的說法是沒有問題的，老外肯定聽得懂。

但是真正的native speaker一般很少這么用。

那么老外一般會怎么用呢?

1. etc.

等等，諸如此類

這是老外最常用的，即拉丁語et cetera的縮寫，讀作['?t'set?r?] 或者 ['et'set?r?]。

例如：

To this class of substance belong mica, porcelain, quartz, glass, wood, etc.

屬于這類物質(zhì)的有云母、瓷器、石英、玻璃、木材等等。

2. to name (but/just) a few

舉幾個來說

She has been a dentist, a basketball payer and a pilot, to name a few.

她從事過很多行業(yè)，下面僅列舉幾項：牙醫(yī)，籃球運動員和飛機駕駛員等等。

3. and so forth

等等、諸如此類、以此類推

The patient can have apples, apple juice, apple sauce, and so forth.

病人可以食用蘋果、蘋果汁、蘋果醬等。
