一次學(xué)校旅行
學(xué)校旅行的日子定在六月二十日。校長(zhǎng)告訴我們，每個(gè)人要花六美元。“今年，”他
說(shuō)，“我們將乘火車(chē)去。這與去年不同?！? 我們九點(diǎn)在學(xué)校集合，九點(diǎn)半我們上了火車(chē)。這是個(gè)很好的安排。每個(gè)車(chē)廂可以容納兩個(gè)班。在常規(guī)列車(chē)上，加掛了三節(jié)車(chē)廂，這樣其他的乘客也有足夠的空間。因?yàn)槲覀兠總€(gè)班大約有三十人，所以有足夠的地方。

63 A School Outing
The date for school outing was set for June 20th. The principal told us it would cost six dollars each. "This year,"he said, "We will go by train. This is a change from last year.?
We assembled at the school at 9 o'lock, and by 9:30 we were aboard the train. It was a good arrangement. Each car held two classes. Three cars were added to the regular train so that there would be enough room for other passengers. As our classes were only about thirty each, there was plenty of room.
We arrived at our destination by twelve, and each class went with its teacher to lunch. Then the guides came and took us for a tour of West Point and finally we stopped at a small river where we had snacks.
We were on the train again by six o'lock. We never needed the raincoats everyone was carrying.
