Squeeze Twice for NO

During a football game I saw one of the players took a hard hit. He tumbled to the ground and didn’t move. We grabbed our first-aid gear and rushed out onto the field. The coach picked up the young man’s hand and urged，“Son, can you hear me? Squeeze once for yes and twice for two.”

在橄欖球比賽中，我看到一個(gè)球員被撞得很厲害。他倒在地上，一動(dòng)也不動(dòng)。 我們抓起急救設(shè)備，沖進(jìn)運(yùn)動(dòng)場(chǎng)。教練抓住這個(gè)年輕人的手催促說(shuō)：“孩子，你能不能聽(tīng)見(jiàn)我說(shuō)話?能聽(tīng)見(jiàn)捏一下，聽(tīng)不見(jiàn)捏兩下。”

【詞匯講解】

1.squeeze捏。也有“榨取”的意思： We squeezed the juice from an orange.我們從橙子中擠出汁來(lái)。

2.tumble摔倒。也有“翻滾”的意思： Children tumble over each other in play.孩子們玩耍時(shí)相互連身翻滾。

3.grab抓起。也可以指“搶”：It is rude to grab a seat.搶占座位是不禮貌的。
