露西的一天 第41期:發(fā)型服飾講解(4)

Lucy likes to "finish it off," meaning she likes to finish doing her hair, "with a little hairspray." 露西喜歡“最后噴一點(diǎn)頭發(fā)定型劑”，意思是她打理頭發(fā)的最后步驟。

Hairspray, "hairspray," (one word) is liquid that you put on a large area. 頭發(fā)定型劑(Hairspray)是大面積使用的液體。

In order to make the liquid go in a larger area, you spray it on, and you spray it by using something called a nozzle. 為了讓液體接觸更大的區(qū)域，你得把它噴灑開(kāi)，用一個(gè)叫做噴嘴的東西噴灑。

The bottle that has the hairspray, on the top has a nozzle, "nozzle," and a nozzle is something that takes the liquid and spreads it out - puts it over a wider area. 裝發(fā)膠的瓶子，在頂部有一個(gè)噴嘴(nozzle)，噴嘴把液體吸起來(lái)，噴灑開(kāi)——灑在更大的區(qū)域。

So, this is hairspray that Lucy is putting on her head. 這是露西噴在她頭上的頭發(fā)定型劑。

It's a liquid that keeps the hair in the same place so that if you go outside in the wind, your hair doesn't get, we'd say, messed up. 這種液體能讓頭發(fā)保持不動(dòng)，這樣如果你在外面遇上大風(fēng)，發(fā)型也不會(huì)變，不會(huì)像我們說(shuō)的，亂七八糟。

To mess, "mess," up your hair means that your hair goes in a different style or it moves so that it doesn't look good. 把頭發(fā)弄亂(mess)，意思是把頭發(fā)弄成不一樣的發(fā)型，或者讓頭發(fā)看起來(lái)不好看。
