467　middle，centre和midst

① middle指“中間部分，中部”，但不一定是正中心。

Don't stand in the middle of the road. 不要站在路中間。

② centre指場(chǎng)所的正中心，中心點(diǎn)；常用于比喻中。

Here is just the centre of the city. 這兒正是城市的中心。

It is the commercial centre of the country. 它是這個(gè)國(guó)家的商業(yè)中心。

She is the centre of public admiration. 她受到人們的廣泛贊揚(yáng)。

③ midst指“在一個(gè)群體中（among）”或“在……過(guò)程中（what is taking place or being done）”。
