“體檢”千萬別翻譯成"body check"！

曾經(jīng)熬過的夜、吃過的各種重口味食物，報應就清清楚楚地寫在體檢報告上了。今天我們來說說體檢的各種表達吧!

有兩種常見表達，一種是：physical exam，即：身體檢查，這里的physical，意思是：身體的。另一種常見的說法則是：checkup(或check-up)，兩種說法都很常見，大家可以替代使用。

pulse 脈搏

the regular beat of blood as it is sent around the body

血液在體內(nèi)循環(huán)時的有規(guī)律的搏動

The doctor started the examination with taking my pulse and blood pressure.

醫(yī)生開始測我的脈搏和血壓。

去具體進行某個體檢項目，

假如說，

你想檢查一下你的嗓子，

千萬別說

examine my throat，

而應該用

have my throat examined

Please, notice the constructions: to be examined/ to have (your ears, your throat) examined...): clearly, here, the doctor is the "agent" (doing the action) and the patient is "enduring" the action. Therefore, the passive structure is used:

注意一下這個結(jié)構(gòu)：to be examined/ to have (your ears, your throat) examined...)很顯然，在這里，醫(yī)生是施動者(做這個動作的人)，而病人是接受這個動作的人。所以，這里要用被動。

To have one's .... examined

(past participle indicating that the throat is being examined. )

(過去分詞，表示咽喉正在被檢查)

- Lily will not have her teeth examined, but she had her ears examined.

莉莉不會去檢查她的牙，但是她檢查了她的耳朵。
